I have a '95 Q45 with power seats, and recently, it's been giving me trouble with the seat memory. I recently changed the battery and they also replaced the battery cable leads b/c they were severely corroded. Ever since, when I try to program the seat position, it will initially light green on the position and then turns off, and when I move the seat, it will forget the position. It does this on both memory 1 and 2. Does this have anything to do with a new battery, or is there something else I should be looking into.

In the FSM (Factory Service Manual) there are instructions on how to test the automatic drive positioner. Lights will blink to tell you if any problems are detected. I have also had odd problems where just running the test fixes them, so why not!

You want to do "Mode V on-board diagnostic" test - page 89 of the EL section of my manual. the directions are as follows:

Funny, I must have left that window open a while before replying. Two of the same answers are still better than one.
