What options are there for the S13, a 91-94 coupe specifically? I need to get rid of those lay-z-boys but don't want to break the bank. This is going to be a track car so I need something that'll keep me snug. JIC seats? If you could give me suggestions and where to get them it would be great!

Thanks.

a milk crate bolted to the floor will do away with any lazy-boy cushy feel and they are Hella cheap! or you could always go with the limited edition Sparco's for $1200 a pop!

S14 seats are quite comfy and offer MUCH better support compared to the crappy S13 ones. A friend of mine has a pair of leather ones for sale for $300...

S14's fit right in? Good to know. I don't have the car yet (lol) but I'll keep your friend in mind. I think I prefer non-leather though. Thanks

Haha perhaps you're thinking too far ahead, why not just get a car first?

I planned to get a fastback but ended up with a kouki S14, not everything goes as planned.

So true. . .I want to learn while I'm waiting so I can jump right into things. I'd love an S14, they aren't around much though, but if I see one then I'll go for it for sure.

Listen to Nismo240sx90. I bought some seats from Chris at Underground. I got them, they were great, but then i found out it was gunna cost me around $150 per bracket (plus i had to give the shop my old brackets from the factory seats). I wish i could weld. I say get the S14 seats because they bolt right in. And if just in case you don't know why the mounting brackets are such a pain, there is hump on the floor next to the center console where one bracket sits higher than the other. I'm actually quit suprised no one has made a set that 240 owners can just buy. Best of luck anyway.

S14 seats are the way to go for a daily driver. For race seats look into Corbeau and Sparco if you don't want to break the bank for a race seat. The lower models can be had for faily cheap. I wouldn't cheap out on a race seat though. I just ordered my race seat and I will swap it out of the car when I don't feel like sitting in a one piece race seat.

Yea s14 seats are a very good and cheap option if you want to get more support and comfort for your daily driver. However I always felt the s13 seats held me in better, they just lack good lumbar support. If you're looking into a bucket seat then I'd look at the bride's or a buddyclub if you're on budget. If you can't weld or can't afford bride superlow rails, I'd stay away from aftermarket reclinable's.

i find s13 seats comfortable, but they are older than the s14. If they were just as new i think it would be comfortable too. I got some leather s13 seats to replace the fabric one and the leather feels way better than the old ones.

leather seats suck when it comes to any kind of grip driving or leather driving. Get a 4 point harness and a 6-point cage is you will e doing any of this.

I didn't know leather was so bad, but I'm not into racing my car , just for driving leisurely and trips and it not being a civic and all. That is why leather is fine and comfortable for me.

If I was going to spend some big money on a single bride seat or some sparcos I would just go for a set of R34 GTR seats and get them reupholstered to my liking for that cost. For cheap though S14 seats are a great oem choice.

I find that the seats in the S13 are fairly comfortable. In my old coupe the "buckets" did their job considering they are "racing style seat" in a 15 year old, low budget sport car. In my fastback the leather seats are nice to ride in and to impress the girlies, but they suck when driving hard... Plus we all know how much leather sucks in the middle of the winter when you get in your car without it being warmed up first..... COLD!!!

S14 seats are better than S13 ones, and great for daily driving, but they suck for hard driving. I like the bride zetaIII the best, but they cost alot. When i upgrade i will probably go with the cheapest fiberglass shell bucket i can find, i dont like the feel of steel tube frame ones.
