Yeah ok, I know, it was in the Fast and Furious right along with 800 ricers but still; have any of you ever actually seen a mod to a seat (Racing or stock) like the one on the opening scene with the NOS bottles under it? Aside from NOS it would be a good place for numerous other things. And if any of you arn't familiar with this scene, the part of the seat you sit in flips and has a compartment underneath. Yeah, any seats that are made like this or an easy way to do it you think?

there are a couple companies that make those seats custom to your order. Nitrous, gun safes, lots of different uses for them.

Why is it assumed that a nitrous setup will eventually fail?

It's not assumed. But, there's a chance it will. Why take the risk when you don't have to? Notice how in today's cars, the gas tank isn't in a place that's vulnerable to impact. . it's also not right under the driver's arse, either lol :)

It's like having a loaded gun pointed at your head as you drive around.

lol, well then again, if you're a street racer you live on the edge!!!!

haha yea...if ur gonna hide nitrous, how about u put it in place of your spare and do a good job placing the lines to be hidden...

you can always have a remote bottle opener...lol

well street racers apparently dont have any gauges either...cuz they dont have time to look down (says the director of the fast and the furious)

haha idiot...thats why your movie sucked you *******!!!! you shoulda come to nico for your info f*****!!!!

Good idea...I was wondering where to put a gun when I get a CCW...The seat idea will stay in mind, as well as a custom holster made to fit into the center console.

I built a gun compartment inside a passenger air bag receptable. The car had been in a wreck and it had been blown out so I removed all the hardwary, formed a thin lead-sheet box with a release lever triggered by a small button on the inside driver kick panel. Kick the buttom, "SRS Airbag" plastic thing pops up to reveal a grinning Glock and ammo case. Pretty sweet.........

number one thing i would worry about while storing a gun in a car (especially here in AZ) is the bullets over heating exploding. While I am no fire arms or gun powder expert type, I would think 180+ degrees might make a bullet explode...and 180 is the temp just in a car with rolled up windows here in the summer, i can only image what it would be in an unventilated lead box...

Well, I wouldnt take a gun with me always, just when I expected to be somewhere I didnt want to be without some protection (think downtown dallas at 3am), or on in state trips. And, it'd mostly just be WHILE I was in the car because with a CCW, you can bet it'd be on me when I wasnt in the car. So it doesnt really matter how hot the car gets.

I stash stuff under my center cosole sometimes. I just pull out the ashtray and stick stuff in there.

180 degrees would NEVER make a bullett go off. It would take WAY more than that to set off the percussion device that fires a bullet.
