Seat interchangability for '94 G50

My 200K+ seats are toast, and aftermarket covers (unless someone knows a REAL good set) really aren't a good fit, so I'm looking at some local donor cars.

Are a set from a '93 direct replacements for a '94? Or will newer ones ('97 and up) bolt in?

Maybe and no. Heaters?

Best bet is to buck up and pay to recover them.

The '94 DID have heaters, but they haven't worked since I picked up the '94, which was at 211K miles (it's got 224K now), so I guess they gave up the ghost years ago. No big deal, since the heat DOES work, and seat heat is not really necessary for 10 months a year (in Georgia). So, the replacement didn't need the harness for heat.

IIRC, the rails are the same, but the power harnesses are different.

Do what I did. Find a reputable Upholstery shop in your area and have them use the OEM as a pattern.

the seats for 94 and later have electric headrest, so you wouldnt be able to use them manually without some changes,but if your not worried about that! I HAVE A BETTER SOLUTION FOR YOU AND ANYONE ELSE WHO READS THIS POST THAT IS INTERESTED!! I HAVE FOUND SOMEONE WHO HAS THE PATTERN FOR THE 94 AND UP SEATS,YOU CAN GET FRONT AND REAR SEATS PLUS HEATERS FOR BOTH FRONT SEATS FOR $600 AND THAT INCLUDES SHIPPING!!!! HE DOESNT HAVE THE PATTERN TO DO THE 90-93 STYLE SEATS, BUT IM IN THE PROCESS OF SENDING MY FRONT,REAR, ARM-REST AND ETC. OUT OF MY 93 SO HE WILL HAVE THE PATTERN TO START DOING THOSE AS WELL.
