Seat help for a n00b

Hey guys... My stock 1989 240sx's driver's seat broke. I was just stretching and leaning back in the morning and *snap* the frame of the seatback broke . I was looking for another stock seat but then it occured to me that the same thing would probably happen again. So I was wondering what cheap, good quality aftermarket seat you guys would recommend.

Wow good thing you stretched, think of what could have happened in a crash had you not caught that. If your seat broke that easy there was something very wrong with it. That shouldn't happen again with another stock seat, in fact it shouldn't have happened a first time.If your are not buying a seat purposely for more side support I would just go stock again.If you would be thinking about buying a racing seat anyways now might be the time.But look into just getting a used pair of s14 seats. You might be able to dismantle the factory seats with the help of the FSM(see my sig) and cannibalize your passenger seat until you can find one in the classifids section.

Sweet thanks for the help... yeah i definetly don't have $250.... But do s14 seats really bolt right on with no modification? If so, I could get some really quick thanks for the help.

I still have s13 stockers, and If I do buy new ones I need more lateral support, My left leg was sore from bracing my self so much last auox...

But from everything I have read they bolt right in.

so the s14 seats will bolt into an s13 without modification?

^i guess youre running the s13 seats in your s14? im confused...

To d!ck:nah I have a 1989 s13 and i need cheap replacement seats. He just suggested that I get s14 seats which bolt on to my s13 w/o any modification. P.S. I get confused alllllll the time

My Stock seat did the same thing.... it broke just like that! I fixed it though..

Kenrik the frame snapped? or that locking mechenism broke? I wouldnt wanna roll around with a ghetto rigged seat, your get messed up if some one hits you from behind.
