Seat Height

Has anyone noticed an unusually high seat height in their EX? I'm somewhat vertically challenged (5'6") but when I settle in behind the wheel, I feel like I'm seating high up in the car. In fact, I can even see the hood.

I've only ever experienced this when getting into a car which was just driven by a female. I've thought they like a high seat height so they can see the hood and better judge distance (my opinion only).

All other SUV's I've owned felt like I was sitting a little bit lower in the car. I tried slouching down in the seat of the EX just to see what it would be like. I like it much better when the car seems to wrap around me... kind of like my previous Lexus IS.

And yes, I've positioned the seat as low as it goes. I wish it could be modified to make it sit lower. I don't need to see my hood.

I like sitting up in most vehicles (being I'm a mere 5'5) and I find that the adjustment range on the EX is fine for me.

When I had my other vehicle I sat in the thing like a go-kart. It's nice to be able to stretch out in this vehicle.

yeah this coupled with the overall cabin space, is one of the two main things i dislike about the ex. there's no reason for it to be so high. there are reasons why there are seat adjustments, at least allow them to be lowered.
