My seat heaters are operated by a two position switch, rocking forward and backward. What does each position do? I ask because they both seem to do the same thing. Been needing it here in sunny California lately.

I use my seat heaters all the time..... This is how i use them.

The first one (pressing it foreward) gets it hot, and then the other keeps it warm...

So when I get in the car, i turn it on till it starts toasting, andthen flip it to the other one to maintain a nice warmness.....

yea, pushing the top part down is max heat, pushing the lower part down is low heat.

I love how the BMW's have a rotating dial with a bunch of settings to get your butt temp. just right.

I never understood the feature, since I have so much clothing on in the winter anyway. But, I guess its something I couldnt live without once I had it, like the Automatic Drive Positioner.

I love it the morning when it's a chilly 45 out like we've been having lately. I get to work and just want to sit in my car, lol! Just like people said above, forward for Hot, back for Warm.
