Does anyone have any suggestions on how my automatic seat/wheel functions don't work? I can get the seat where I want it, push "set" and the preset button but when I pressed either "1" or "2", the seat doesn't move. And yes, the LED's lite up when "set" and the number is pressed. Additionally, when I get in or out of the car, the seat and wheel no longer move.

Also, does anyone know how to test the AC compressor to ensure that it is working? I rebuilt the old compressor but when I go to recharge it, it will only suck a very smaller amount of freon (R12) into the system. The system holds a vacuum.

Anyone?? Thanks for the help

I think I've read of the seat problem on here, but that might have been on the old board. Hopefully someone can comment. I can say that when I bought the car, I had the same problem. But after having an alarm installed, it worked fine. No idea what those guys did.You might be able to find/rent a R-12 gauge set, which will tell you the pressures at the high and low sides. But that only works if you have sufficient freon in there already. Otherwise you'll be low on both sides.

What year Q is your car? When you say you rebuilt your A/C compressor what do you mean? In any case, I just replaced the evaporator on my truck. I had to jump out the compressor relay to get it to come on to take in refrigerant because the dual pressure switch was locking out the compressor. Once I did that it starting taking the freon with no problems... might work for the Q as well - don't know for sure.

What I mean by rebuild is.......I took the old compressor off, replaces the piston band with the attached shaft, new seals, new bearings, new reed plate. The compressor will vacuum down to about 28.5Hg but when I go to replaced the freon, it will not take any in. If I run a wire directly to the clutch, the clutch engages and seems to work.

And I still can't figure out what the problem is with these seats. HELP!!!!!!!!!
