hi everyone, I am finally in the last few stages of having my car back on the road. So now i have to worry about the smaller things. My seats are in pretty bad condition, the driver side is definately needs replacing. I would like to know if anyone can recommend good seat covers that can get the job done. I have a 91 btw with the brown interior. I know chances are slim of getting one that will have an exact same fit, as long as its close enough i can do some cutting and sewing. Thank you

Everyone has been telling me to get race seats, but I dont want the racecar look without the performance to back it up, and right now my car is pretty much stock except for intake, exhaust and electric fan. My friend has a couple links in chinatown so i am gonna check those out, might just get it reuphostered after all

hb55047, hey im with you,i have a very stock look and i love it. my car is some what tuned but i have original seats and i just got them reupholstered. i also have brown int. and a gold paint job and the fabric is readily available. i like the S13seats alot, keep them. i have 4 point harness and it works great with stock seats.

it was like 500 for all the trim (glove box and the two door panels) and the front two seats, so probably like 6 or 700 for everything...

now dont forget i live in so cal and i went to a mexican owned place and they do some good stuff for cheap so it might be different for all you east and mid west guys...

If you open up the back of the seat and remove the top spring for lumbar support it lets you sit further back into the seat, its more comfortable and you have more lateral support, it feels like it wraps around you more, closer to the feel of a race seat. Not sure if it works in s13's but it does in s14's

Yeah, you just hook it back up, all you have to do is unhook one side and it takes the tension off, you dont have to fully remove the spring. There are 3 springs that run sidways across the back of the seat, they are not like regular spiral springs, they are flat with lots of curves, you will see. I unhooked the top 2 at first but it was uncomfortable and gave me a sore back so I hooked up the middle one again and it was great, the top one is pretty useless, you dont even need support there so all it really does keep you from sitting further in to your seat.

yeah, it wont make a huge difference but It felt like my upper back and shoulders fit in there better, but im a fairly big guy, 6'2, 205 so I appreciate any extra space and improved fit that I can get.
