The front seat bottom upholstery in my Path is pretty bad shape so I found a clean used pair to replace the existing ones. I was wondering if anyone has tried removing the cover off the bottom cushions? Are there any schematics or images around?

its pretty standard, held on with hogrings. I've seen replacement OEM seat covers on ebay once in a while.

I've taken about half of the bottom cover off to look at the foam (this will make more sense in a bit), and the perimeter of the leather/vinyl in held on with plastic strips with tooths on them that are sewn into the vinyl and cliped into the seat base. This made it really easy to take off. If you take a look at it, you will figure it out. That was the perimeter (hence half of the bottom). The section with the perforated leather is individualy held down with some other method. Again, you'd have to look at it to understand.

I hope that confused you

Sounds like it won't be too bad as long as none of the clips break. I will do a how-to with pictures when I receive the covers. I will start with the passenger seat just in case things don't work out so well.
