Does anyone's seat belt not retract quite as fast as you'd think it should. Mine are real slow to retract and sometimes get caught in the door jam when I'm closing the door. If there's a kink in them they just don't go up. Is this normal? I've got the same problem in my Q45 as my QX4.

I heard somewhere that seatbelts have a lifetime warrenty? Any truth or is this a myth?

Yes, I believe that there is still a lifetime warranty on Nissan seatbelt retractors, taking my 1992 M30 in to the dealer a few months back, for the 2nd time on faulty retractors. No charge to replace, but the $1,700 they got me for for other needed repairs made up for the "free" retractors!

Get the hell out a here! There really is a standing warranty on the seat belt retractors?

I'm so going to the dealer! Mine not only doesn't retract without me reaching back and giving it some help, but when you lean forward for any reason the guide roller thing makes this super high pitch squeal that sounds like you just stepped on a hampster.

I gotta take the Q in and see where this thing sits currently with any and all factory services/recalls or warranty issues.

I bought mine with only 33K miles on it, but it was already like 5 years old. So I was told the original warranty on it was 70K miles or 4 years and it was no longer covered.

I gotta get into this! See what kinda free service I might be due.
