Any advice? My belt warning light keeps coming on when I have the belt closed around my (admittedly too big) stomach. Is there a simple fix like a contact to clean. Thanks

Your 94Q has seatbelt pre-tensioners. Basically, explosive cylinders that pre-tighten the belt as sensors detect a crash. Your problem may be more than a bad switch. Do you have the factory service manual? If not you can download one for $20 at http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/infiniti with the one day viewing subscription. Be sure to get the TSBs too.

A pirated FSM is also available at http://www.phatg20.net - but you'll need to find the special decompression software for these .rar files.

Good luck!

Hope its not that serious. It isn't a constant. If it comes on and I buckle and rebuckle the belt it goes off but always comes on again. More like a bad contact I think.

When I replaced my ECU on my 95, there was a constant display of the air bag light until I followed a procedure in the FSM RS22-23 to allow ECU to diagnose airbags were indeed intact and functioning.
