Well, after 3 months with my 3.5SE coupe premium....I notice that on longer trips, the constant tugging of the shoulder belt on my left shoulder really hurts. I have resorted to jam a folded up business card to the seat belt guide to get some slack from the seat belt.

Does anyone else have any helpful suggestions?

Is it the way you sit or perhaps your (ahem) "broadness".

I hope there isn't a problem with the seat belts! I haven't read anything about them so far, I don't think. Somebody with more knowledge will chime in, you can be on that.

I would be afraid of messing with my seat belt, or even the slack of it, because that might throw off its functionality and you could be injured. If there is unnecessary slack in the belt, in a emergency stop, there will be that much more give before the belt lock engages. That would seriously suck.

Then again, I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I wouldn't recommend slacking up the belt. Could cause problems if you need to stop fast and that belt needs to work.

I'd pick up a seatbelt shoulder pad. They can be found at most auto parts stores. You can probably find a Nissan one online if you were really fancy

I'm about 5'4" and I have the same problem in my coupe. The seatbelt tugs on my shoulders and it's annoying. I'm thinking about getting the seat belt shoulder pads to put on when i have my long commutes.

My seat belt keeps sliding over to my neck.Very scary, if I have to stop. I've tried adjusting the seat several different ways, and can't find a spot that I can comfortably drive and not have the seat belt sliding over. I'm kind of short - 5'4". Any ideas for me?

Thanks!

My wife is about 5'4" also, and she had trouble with the passenger seat belt cutting into the neck. We found a gizmo at Wally World, its a black plastic clip that attaches to the hip belt, then the shoulder belt slip into it, changing the angle of the belt. It moved the shoulder belt outward, keeping it off her neck.

$3.48 Walmart special, works fine, much nicer looking than the big honking shoulder pads, and it retracts fine when not in use.

Just a suggestion.
