First and foremost...Yes... the seat belt will still be engaged in the event of a collision. Just be sure you hear a metallic "click" when you fasten the seat belt to ensure you have it fastened. In theory, the light itself is just a warning light to let you know you don't have your seatbelt on.thepettes wrote:My seat belt light stays on even though it is fastened. Sometimes it goes off after a bit, other times it stays on. I'm going to have it checked out by a dealer, but my question is: If the light is on (even though it is fastened), will the seat belt still engage if there is a collision?
