I just found out there's expiration date for Fia approved seatbelts such as G-force and Simpson.

If the date is old (lets say dated 2000), i cannot use that in autocross event?

You should be able to use it at an auto-x, depending on how stringent they are on tech, but I wouldn't think you'd have any problems for just auto-x. Now something like Solo or HPDEs, etc is another story...

They will only be strict if you participate in championships. so far, practices, i never see them check my belt expire date. but that may be because I still have most of the original seatbelt stuff.

I have an extra set of simpson 5 point harness made 2004 or 2005 (can be used as 4 or 3 point) for $60 .

p.s. I hope you sent in your registration for Feb 11th practice already - if not, you can always roll w/ me or meet me there to spectate & see how it is & how everything works.

There are certain organizations which accept donations of out of date seatbelts for us with handicapped children. just thought I would throw that out there. I will try and find info on it

Impact Racing has a trade-in process for old belts. You trade your old ones in and they give you a credit towards new belts.
