(I am not sure what to call these, but "seat-belt buckle positioner" seems to be sufficiently descriptive.)
Anyway, on my 13 year old car, we have finally slammed the front doors often enough into the seat belts that we have broken the little plastic "dot" that normally prevents the seat belt buckle from sliding all the way to the ground where the belt bolts into the car.
These plastic pieces position the buckles high enough that reaching for the buckle and pulling it across is a simple one-handed motion.
Now, we have to reach down, often have to open the door, find the buckle near the ground bolt, and then slide the buckle up to where the belt can come across.
Anybody have any cute or creative options for replacing these plastic dots? They are small, round, plastic, flat, dish-like pieces (two ... one on each side of the physical belt ... four total) that have a metal pin that sticks through the belt and then into the other plastic piece. ... not sure if they are a standard part that can be found online!
Somebody suggested a paper clip, but this would look kinda stupid, IMHO. Ideally, I'd like to find the same dual-plastic piece with pin arrangement ... but have not seen it anywhere.
Suggestions?
