When I insert my key it twitches then when I remove it it'll do the same. When I hit SET and the number 2 turns off and 1 stays on.Any idea?Maybe the motor or something is out?

With the "Cancel" button under the column adjust joystick un-pressed, the auto drive positioner will retract and raise the steering column and slide the seat back whenever the key is removed. When you put the key back in it goes back to the last-used ADP setting (1 or 2). To make exit and entry easier. If you press the Cancel button, it disables the ADP system. Unless I'm mistaken, you can't set ADP memory with "Cancel" on either, so that may be the issue with your memory lights.

If the steering wheel still moves properly when using the tilt/telescope joystick dealie, the problem is probably in the slide-resistors that the system uses to detect positioning.

Here's the reset procedure for the ADP system:zerothread?id=289906

I know there is a thread or two floating around with more details on the slide resistors, but I can't find them at the moment. If I do I'll post them up, too.

Failure to maintain [clean] the real time position sensors [2 potentiometers] frequently. These sensors send a voltage representing positions to seat ecu which is stored in 3 memories.

Just like a seat number bed matress positions 1&2.

That's what I meant shane but mine sometimes gets the seat closer and sterring wheel higher or the opposite.

Q45tech where can I find the sensor?Am I able to clean them too?I never knew about the sensors so my guess is previous never cleaned it.

Start with the easy stuff and blow out the ignition keyhole with compressed air. You'll be surprised how much dust and dirt will come out of that little opening. If you feel like getting bruised ribs take the 4 piece steering column shroud off and blow the column down also. The FSM should tell you where the position sensors are.

My experience with my first 90Q was that a worn out key will cause the system to work sporadically. Are the edges of your key rounded? Did you do the reset procedure that was posted? Any changes?

Try the air in the keyhole first and see if it doesn't help.

How square is a brand new key? I was tinkering with my ADP and it seems to work sporadically, though all of the individual motors except the headrest height all work when done manually

If your key turns the cylinder, it's fine. I think the trigger for the ADP is just when it's inserted it grounds something.

There are two slide potentiometers (think sliding volume control on a radio) under the steering column. They're no fun to get to, but if you can clean them with some electrical contact cleaner - everything works much better. If the feedback from these switches is interupted (think crackly volume control on the radio) then the control unit looses track of the position of the wheel and just shuts down.
