Wow! $10 off a tool purchase of $20 or more. This is PERFECT, since I just broke a bunch of important (but crappy, made in Taiwan) tools, and today is pay day.

Thanks man!

I printed four coupons and spent $60 and got $30 off. I had to purchase, check out, leave, come back, purchase again at another counter, leave... lather-rinse-repeat until I got 50% off.

Not only that, everything is on sale in hardware.

Very valuable post!!!

Just saved a bundle on replacing tools that I've lost along the way. Plus I decided to go ahead and buy one of the Craftsman "gimmick" tools, the Robo-Grip locking vise-grips. Kinda cool... coould be a time/patience saver at some point.

Is the Gator Grip any good? I saw it for 10 bucks at Sears.

If it hasn't been too long (less than 2 weeks, maybe 30 days) most places concerned with customer service will allow you "benefit of the sale/coupon" after the fact. If not see waht their return plicy is, return it and then go back and buy it again. As a college student, every dime is too important.

I have never used it, but from what I have heard and seen it is not a very good tool for any kind of heavy use. Those little needles inside can't hold up to very much abuse.

There is a proper tool for every job... and the gator claims to replace a whole set of sockets AND a stripped head bolt remover. NOT SO. It is only useful up to 18mm (I think) bolt heads in light-duty applications. As far as stripped heads.... it's completely useless. Heads usually strip for a reason... the bolt is STUCK. If you end up in that pickle... a good shot of PB Blaster and a stripped head remover socket works... a Gator won't. They are VERY expensive for a whole set of sockets, but one of the best tool investments I've ever made.

I got a Craftsman 3/8" drive Digitork torque wrench (5-80 ft-lbs). I have to say, for the money it looks really nice.

The craftsman torque wrench is ok for light duty. With heavy use the lock on the handle usually breaks.
