Let me start off by saying that this is on a couple other boards as well since the Norteast Regional Board wasn't getting enough traffic

I want to start a local chapter of NICO in Philly, for lack of knowing what to call this (Team and crew sound gay) I will see if I can get us some stickers to proudly rep our NICO Pride. The basic idea is this, I want this to be an open group of people who get together and hang out, play video games (on and offline) help each other out with doing installs and working on each others cars, lend a hand when anyone goes to the track (kinda like our own personal pit crew) do cruises, possibly even fundraisers for events and participate in local car shows (like the one at Franklin Mills every Sunday).

I want this to be a clean organized thing so no shady people looking to start trouble or steal from those of us who bust our asses to have nice things. All cars are welcome, I understand that when money's tight you make do with what you got. I will not descriminate based on sex or ethnicity, and I don't want anyone who will to sign up eihter. If anyone lives within the Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware Counties or if you live across the border in Jersey or DE your welcome to sign up, not really looking for anyone who lives more than an hour or so away, just to much travel time since I live in NE Philly and the first meet up will probably be either at Franklin Mills or down on Delaware Ave. as soon as I get my car back up in 2-3 weeks, shootiing for a meetup the first weekend after Thanksgiving. It will be a BS session to meet everyone and check out each others cars and exchange information and we will take it from there.

just so you have an idea as to what is already involved my best friend has an 05 SRT 4 with a couple of mods, he's rice but not as much as when I met him, I got him into actual performance. Almost got him convinced to sell the SRT and go get a used 350Z... His dream car is a Z32 TT so if you gotz one you want to sell he may just consider buying it off of you (as long as its not a 2 + 2 ) and I have a 95 240sx that I'm about to do a full AT/MT swap, megan Racing header, dp and tp, cross drilled and slotted rotors with Project mu pads in the rear and Hawk Performance pads in the front. intake and the rest of my exhaust will be after the transmission swap and I have a spare KA block that I'm going to start building up for turbo.

I work weekends myself so don't feel bad Structure, but I get out of work at 16:30 so we can all meet up on Friday or Saturday nights to hang out and cruise around. Being that it is going into winter I don't foresee us doing much more than that until Spring. I know that every Sunday at Franklin Mills mall they have a like a local mini car show so we could all roll up there and check out the cars one Sunday. Mostly all me and my best friend do are go out and grab a bite to eat somewhere wash our cars and then go drive around aimlessly for a couple of hours. So if nothing else that what we can do until spring (washing the car is optional). If everyone is over 21 we could all just meet up and hang out for a couple of drinks at a local pub or something. Like I said it's a bit unorganized right now but I'll start getting it together over the next couple weeks. I'm thinking of us meeting up for a round of bowling or at a driving range to knock some golfballs out there (extra points for whoever hits the guy in the cart that sucks up the balls). I'm going to build an Access Dbase of contact information and send it out ot everyone so if there's someone you want to hang out with then you have their contact info . This will be organized, I promise, just trying to get more people involved here. If you know anyone who would be interested in joining up that lives locally then by all means let me know and I'll send them an email.

Hey guys any of you do the 5 speed swap on your cars? I am in the middle of mine and I am a little lost and confused. We have everything disconnected adn un bolted and might be dropping the trans today and I need some help. I will probably take Saturday off to finish the job (I am swapping out the engine for a lower mileage one at the same time) so if you are free please let me know. I will email everyone to see if they are available to help, but i need some serious help on this as it's not only my first trans swap but also my first enginie swap.

Here's an update on what is going on. It's taken me over a month and a half but the lower mileage KA is in, the 5 speed swap is almost done (all thats left is to connect the clutch cable and install the Clutch Master Cylinder and Clutch Pedal) and the new header back exhaust will be on shortly. So at the absolute latest my car will be on the road Monday afternoon Dec 21st, I can't wait. So on top of work, doing this major project and trying ot get the holiday shopping done I have fallen off on keeping in touch with everyone. Everyone whose address I do have in my yahoo address book got an email this morning everyone else this is for you guys.

I know it's the holiday season and everyone is busy, not to mention its looking ot be a super cold winter if the last couple of days has been any indication of what's to come. So I am putting it up to you all to cast a vote as to whether you all want to get together say mid January or wait until the spring for our first meet up. Either way the 240 is my DD so it's on the road all year long. the only thing it will come off for won't be until March when I take it to get a fresh coat of paint on it until I get the real paint job after I get the body kit, which wont be for at least another year or so.

Now if anyone is interested we could possibly meet up somewher for New Years Eve, maybe somewhere like Dave and Buster's, either at Franklin Mills or down on Columbus Ave. or if anyone knows a good small bar that won't be too terribly packed we could all meet up there and bring in a whole new NICO year... If you're under age I'm sorry, is anyone under 21? either way I am trying to keep this ball going, just been busy with work and working on my car... Didn't want to show up at our first meet up in the heap I'm driving right now (1996 Ford Escort Wagon) it's an embarrassment to be seen in that junk let alone drive it, gives me a whole new love for my car never thought 160HP would make me as happy as it does right now.

The old KA is in a shed waiting to be torn apart and rebuilt for a bullet proof turbo setup, I'm going to do the KA thing right, might test the waters with the engine in the car now, but I dont know yet. At least if I blow it up there's a spare waiting to go back in.
