I was trying to find more information regarding ca lifters, such as what type they are and if they're specific to what spot they are in the head? I tried the FSM and searching but couldn't find anything.

The guy I bought my swap from said he had the head rebuilt( you can tell by looking at it this is true) and when he put the motor together and fired it up he had lifter tick. He attributated this to solid lifters which the shop didn't shim correctly. The motor is in its stock form, which is with hydraulic lifters, correct? I'm just trying to figure out if maybe one of the lifter's is junk, causing lifter tick. Oh and be more knowledgable on this motor.

Quite possible you have a collapsed lifter.

I had found someplace to get them rebuilt, but it's been so long ago that I don't remember anymore.

As for your questions, no, they don't have specific places in the head, and also, they are the same lifter as what is used in the vg30de(tt)

Alright, cool, thanks much! My buddy has a set of extra lifters, I'll just have to figure out which one is junk. Thanks!
