its stuck open and i have tried many times to close it but none of the buttons work. I'm guessing that it could be a problem with the motor or is there a fuse for the moonroofthat might need to be replaced because i cant locate it in the fuse box.

It is a 95 SE with about 81900 miles.

I've had a problem with mine from time to time...You may have something stuck inside it. I suspect the latch that pulls the shade back when you open the window may be in the way.

maybe but the real problem besides it being stuck open is that when i press the close button nothing happens at all. Sometimes the thing opens and then closes when i turn the car off while other times it will open and not close.

I doubt that anything is stuck in there

Sounds like a switch or motor problem. The roof shares fuses with the windows and door locks and if these are working than that means the fuses are good. The roof also uses a curcuit breaker put this is shared by the power windows also and again if the windows work the breaker is good.Check power to motor key on you should have battery voltage at white with black tracer at motor. You might try jumping the switch to ground and if it works the switch is faulty and the motor is okay.

You know, you can actually remove the panel where the moonroof switch is. Underneath it is a crank that you can manually turn to close the moonroof.

Yeah, there is a manual crank thingy for it in the spare tire wrench bag.
