I know this is very noob of me, but tomorrow I will be purchasing an s14 t28 (non bb I believe), A z32 MAF, and an safc2 in addition to my current S13 Blacktop SR setup. Is the safc2 going to be good with the mine's vxrom ecu? And will it be tunable with the z32 maf? Here is my current list of engine modifications.....

(power enterprise 550cc side feeds will be used)

(will also be throwing on a ported ebay greddy intake mani)

Engine:Fully rebuilt OEM blacktop sr20, rods, bearings, pistons, the whole deal.New OEM water & Oil pumpAll gaskets and belts replacedCometic metal headgasketTomei solid lifter conversionHKS 264 stage 2 CamsTitanium valve springsNew rocker arms, valve seals seats and retainersXS power tubular manifoldS14 T28 turboTurboxs boost controller & RFL BOVExedy stage 2 clutchKOYO aluminum rad.3'' Downpipe3'' Exhaust with 4.5'' muffler (single tip)XSpower FMIC with chrome pipingCone mushroom filterC's Short throw Shifter300sx fuel filter & Throwout bearingMine's VX-Rom ECUWalbro 255

If you guys see any incompatibilities with these parts let me know, and what to do. Also any projected whp figure? Reccommended boost pressure for setup? Any advice you can offer is obviously much appreciated

THANKS EVERYONE - I know these threads can be annoying but help me out, first dumb question in years

Here's pretty much the VERY best info I can tell you about the ECU:

"This VX-ROM is set up for stock-mildly tuned vehicles and is simply referred to as a `boost up` Computer here in Japan. These ECU`s incorporate boost cut, fuel cut, rev-limit raise and a better fuel curve. You can expect slighly higher boost throughout the power band (dependent on your current mods) and higher/safer boost potential with an aftermarket boost controller. "

A lot of ppl are running these things but I can't exactly put my finger on what they're tuned for. It obviously cant be tuned for 550s or else my stock injectors wouldnt work... right? Stupid ECU

Your setup looks good, you can either street tune your setup with a wideband 02 or take it in for a dyno tune.

My guess is it's just tuned more agressively for a stock setup. I don't see any reason why an s-afc wouldn't work with the ecu. You'll just have to change the injector and maf settings on the s-afc and you're good.

If I were you, I'd probably run the car at low boost for the first few hundred miles to break all of your parts in and make sure all is functioning correctly. Then start turning the boost up and see how the car responds.

I see, cool guys THANKS! BTW the longblock is already broken in with the exception of the lifters and cams. Any guesses for horsepower levels? Reccommended boost pressure for the setup?

Yeah all the motor brackets + motor mounts, also did the IC piping and strut tower bar mounts the same color. Looks pretty cool in person
