Hi Guys,I am getting ready to put a blacktop in a 91 hatchback, I have all the sr stuff ie: uncut harness, ignitor, ecu, maf, ect. Do I need a boost controler?

No. You will run 7 psi. That is what the wastegate spring is set to. Do you want to run more than 7 psi? Then you need a boost controller. Your going to need an upgraded fuel pump. I wouldn't go over 12 psi on the stock injectors on your stock turbo, but I'm sure some people will tell you it's ok to run 15.

So, just a fuel pump, good, thanks. I do paln on mounting a fmic but dont plan on boosting over 7psi. I shouldn't have to change out the injectors should I?

if u plan on running stock boost then no...u can use the stock injectors...if u plan on running more than 12 then yes...u'll be maxing out the 370's and should get bigger injectors...

make sure you change out all your main seals and gaskets etc. you dont want to have to go back in for leaks, that would be a pain. Also your water pump and oil pump. But if you plan on pulling the motor again for any head or bottom end work it should wait until then. It doesnt have to be done asap but better safe, fast and reliable than blown or needing major work and parked. I als owould recommend checking out a good basic street clutch. Ebay sucks but its a tuners best friend! Good Luck!

Yep, Today I bought a decent stage one clutch kit, I plan on having the flywheel turned. Good Idea about the seals and gaskets, which are the ones that are most common to need attention? also, do you know where I can get the stronger ball mount for the clutch fork?

yup Warped is right, get your rear main seal replaced and check your transmission and differential seals (if you're replacing that). You normally dont have to change valve gaskets, spark plug seals, oil pan gaskets etc, but if you want you could do those. Most of these things will look really new on a good motor and will seem like you're throwing away good parts, but you will also get a chance to know your motor. Check your hoses too! Good Luck

The main rule of thumb is that if it will be a pain to get to in the engine bay, do it now.

The engine is not in the car now anyway so since I have to pull the flywheel anyway to have it turned so I might as well just do it. Also thanks, I just ordered the Nismo pivot ball from the nissan store in Ann Arbor.
