I'm searching for some info on finding a replacement radio for my 1997 q45. I would like to get a touchscreen radio that fits perfectly in my Q. Hopefully everyone can provide me some info on different radios to choose from.

Any double din aftermarket radio will fit. But it depends on what features you're looking for and how much you're willing to spend. I would check out http://www.sonicelectronix.com as in my experience they have excellent customer service and the best prices (better than Crutchfield).

Thanks for your reply. I have scanned that website and am looking for a touchscreen stereo in which can play my ipod and utilize my lg cell phone. Additionally I would like the stereo to have navigation but is not absolutely required. Are placing after market stereo's in the 97 Q a hassle to put in?

Great experience with sonicelectronix also. great pricing, FAST shipping on just about everything. Would also look at vminnovations as well. similar site with some different brands. radio install in most nissan/infiniti 2000 or older is very easy. just grab a nissan compatible wire harness and pop off the radio trim, it will be obvious what needs to remove. Prep your wires ahead of time also, I can do a radio on any one of the above mentioned cars in about 30-40 mins.

Make sure to use a PAC roem-nis2 with the factory Bose system. I just replaced my head unit with A Pioneer Appradio 3 DA210. Without the PAC unit you won't get the sound quality out of the factory speakers unless you bypass them.

I got mine from amazon for about $40 shipped.

If you are shopping on sonic electronix here is a link

Install is very easy just use butt connectors to connect the appropriate wires together and plug it in. On the Roem-nis2 you want to use the "high level" speaker wires. Low level wires are if you have less than 25w max.
