You have a Sunpro gauge hooked up to the OEM cluster gauge?
I highly doubt that will ever work.

Use the sensor that came with your Sunpro gauge.

Do you have a picture of your setup?

S13s don't have their OEM sensors on the radiator hose, they are all on the intake manifold's coolant neck.

Hooking up aftermarket water temp gauges are quite easy.
You buy a radiator hose tee like this one:

Then you install it on your radiator hose, screw on your temp sensor, then wire it to your gauge.

I think I got what he is saying, my car is setup like that, I am not a fan, now I must use an AM gauge to read coolant temp. It requires tapping the intake manifold to fit the aftermarket sensor.

That sensor seems to be for outside of the water. So probably won't work to put it in the hose. Would get a different gauge/sensor. Don't try to ghetto rig that sensor in the adapter and try to seal it.

Upper hose temp is going to be similar to temp on stock gauge and ECU sensor (both just a few inches away on the head). Wouldn't want to see upper hose above 200 or so. I usually run my fans at 180-190 with the sensor on top hose.

Where are you going to put that?

Do you already have a tee like the picture I posted above?

So, you bought a tee but your Sunpro sensor can't screw into it?

I'm sorry, but your posts are really hard to understand.

Oh I see, use some more periods and commas. It'll help, haha.

I'm not sure what the threading on your sensor and your tee are, but I'd figure it out before buying an adapter.

If you can find a nut and bolt that thread onto your sensor and tee, you can take those to Autozone and figure out what their thread and pitch are and find the correct adapter.

yea all adapters on ebay are 1/8 npt which is 2 small and i bought a hks adapter thinking it would fit since all the sizes are 1/8npt. and it does not.. is the screw that goes into adapter suppose to hold sensor in coolant rite? where could i find bigger adapters for a sunpro gauge?
