and by the way, theres this dandy sticky at the top of the maxima forum that reads: Maxima info, FAQ's, and how-tos ***READ FIRST***

btw, the link in there about seafoam doesnt work.

but, i was nice and took the liberty to find it for you:

zerothread?id=220804

zerothread?id=219959

there are more articles about this product but these two should give you the gist of what it does and doesnt do.

Ok, seafoam is a chemical that you can get at pretty much any auto parts store. It is mainly used for cleaning carbon deposits and such junk out of your engine, cleaning gas tanks, etc. It is pretty much carb cleaner on steroids but you also can put it in your crankcase to help free up sludge build-up and clean engine. Now I think what you are talking about "seafoaming" is dumping seafoam directly into your carb, or throttle body if injected, to clean carb, valves and valvetrain as well as whatever it comes in contact with. I have done this myself and it does wonders. I wouldnt recommend it if you dont really need it.

you dont know if you need it or not - to be honest its "supposed" to clean out the carbon buildup in your engine. I do it quarterly before an oil change (cause your oil gets really thin when you use it) you can get it for about 6 bucks at your local autoparts dealer.

LOL - dont make too much fun now...
