lol I remember the first day i used it. Funny sight.VinceSez wrote:today I just added seafoam through my brake booster and wow... the smoke practicallly covered the whole street I wish I had my camera with me
Seafoam is a petroleum based injector/engine cleaner that you can pick up at Napa parts stores.st33f wrote:wtf is seafoam?
If you have an old catalytic converter (as in, you didn't recently replace it) I recommend getting a new one. They say on the bottle its o2 sensor safe, but if you haven't replaced your cat or your 02 sensor yet, better do it now anyway so you can reap the full benefits. My friend 91' Super hicas wouldn't pass emissions, i told him to run some Seafoam thru the tank/booster line and it passed the next time he went. It's good stuff.VinceSez wrote:today I just added seafoam through my brake booster and wow... the smoke practicallly covered the whole street I wish I had my camera with me
I've never seen that written on the bottle, but I have seen it on a bottle of B12 Chemtool. I guess a good rule of thumb is to check for leaks/compression issues before running some Seafoam the system.spanishricer wrote:I've heard you shouldn't run Seafoam on higher mileage engines. Reason being, sometimes the carbon buildup can hide cracks, leaks, etc...then when you use the seafoam, it removes all the gunk and buildup, and all the sudden you realize that was the stuff holding your motor together
Whoa! The before pics of that engine was terrifying, it looked terrible.
