im planning on using this stuff to clean out my engine. ive read the writeup on it many times, but one things unclear. is there only one "seafoam" product?? or is there separate products that you use for each (oil/gas/brakebooster)?? what does it say on the seafoam bottle, as for its intended use?? do you use the same stuff in the oil/gas/brakebooster?? someone please clear this up for me:(

The safest way to answer "what else is there?" is to just go to the local parts store and find the chemical/ additive isle, find the Seafoam and start reading product labels of stuff right next to it. See what each claims to do and price. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for.

Years and years ago, I had the displeasure of working at Jiffy Lube. Their "fuel system service" was a three part additive package that included: Gas addive for the tank, Oil additive for the PCV system, and the third was to be sucked into a vacuum line. Don't know if it worked that well, but man did it stink up the shop with rancid exhaust fumeswhen the vacuum one was applied.

That's correct........at least that's what I did!! The bottle says that it's good for all three. I used three bottles of the stuff in the various holes. Cleaned it right out!

Might not smoke but I'm pretty sure you'd bleed out the back :D

Seafoam is awesome.

i used seafoam on my engine a while back. put it in the gas tank, vacuum lines, and engine. throttle response is very quick, car runs better. only problem, now it burns oil if i take off hard in first gear and sometimes in second :( :(

it'll smoke abit if your gas to seafoam ratio is too great, if you use it right it'll only smoke little to none

Yeah, I put a whole can in thru the booster line. Smoked a lot. The day was windy though, so it wasn't too bad. You can also just dump a ton in, or go little by little, it'll just keep smoking until it's all clean. After about 45 minutes of the damn smoke I just put the rest thru. I didn't want to wait any longer, was running out of daylight. Anyway, it's good stuff, change your fluids after you do it tho. PEACE. Tek.

Yeah, if you've got any weak spots it'll open those up. It's not because it destroys the gaskets, it's cuz it will clean off the grime and sludge that's keeping them sealed. So, you run the risk of finding more stuff that's wrong. PEACE. TEk.

You put it in the brake booster line coming off of the brake master cylinder while the car is running and it sucks it into the intake but you have to give it a little gas or it will die. And it will smoke a lot but will eventually stop. when putting it in the motor itself it can open up seals and leak if they were bad to begin with such as the oil pan gasket. It just like using an engine flush before you do an oil change if you put it in the motor through the valve cover. You have to change the oil when your done letting it run or you'll burn the motor up. And last but not least puttin it i the gas tank you do want to have a good ratio of gas to sea foam but it works great on cleaning out carbon and sludge build up. Dont be afraid to use it but read the instruction real good. And if you have a high mileage car than be prepared for leaks, but its not for sure....you never know.

Yeah mine smoke smoked white was jsut the damn seafoam burning up. Smelt like ****s. So anyways the only thing I can reccomend is after putting the stuff in your car drive your car hardcore in the residential area. GO FOR IT put that pedal to the metal. Otherwise I think it will jsut burn up and have no affect.
