I'm considering using seafoam on my 93 Q45 with 122k miles. I would be applying the seafoam via the brake booster line like i've done with several vehicles in the past. My concern is, i really really love this car and i want to make 100% sure there will be no potential problems from seafoaming it.

I've seen tons of good from Seafoam in cars, motorcycles, even my lawnmower but i don't know how the complex engine of my Q45 will respond.

I also would like to run a can through the fuel tank just to clear any potential filth there.

Some like Seafoam, some dont... I have used seafoam on my Q and no ill affects..... However, I prefer fluids that arent "one size fits all"... Since your going to decarb, I recommend using GM "top engine cleaner"... Get the liquid stuff (not aerosol), and dump away. I like using the top engine cleaner more, since its designed for that... You can get it at any GM dealer and its about $5-10 for a can, depending on where you go. IIRC when I bought it from a cadillac dealership it was $7...

For stuff to use in the tank, BG44k.... Joe at infiniti of scottsdale has it for $17.can. Its pretty expensive, but its BY FAR the best stuff on the market!
