I plan on doing some maintenance next weekend, but before I change oil, etc. I was going to do the Seafoam treatment as described here. My question is what hose do I use for the V6? The how-to was very good, but only showed which hose to use on the V8. Anyone have input on the V6? Thanks in advance

Typically it's whichever one leads to the brake booster. Without referring to the manual, I believe there is only one coming from the brake compartment to the engine.

mac, And some of these motors like my v6 that have two throttle butterflys and the brake-booster vacuum takeoff is ONLY the drivers "bank" and so the SeaFoam really won't 'hit' the cyl's/valves much at all on the pass. side rt. "bank". And I suppose this could possibly happen if ONE throttle feeds a very 'split' intake where the Br. booster is taken off an extreme plenum far to the driver's side where you STILL have to find a "vacuum TAP" closer to the pass. side to clean "proper" that side's cyl.'s/valves ??
Is why SOME try to "inject" the stuff directly @ the throttle(s) - thus getting a R. & L. banks cleaning.
Remember - you want to maximize the distribution of the spray to all "runners" as much as possible , may utilize multiple points of "injection" to achieve. :rotflmao Knowing ALL points to tap vacuum helps.

Yep, this is the way I'd go. Basically, any vacuum line going into the intake manifold is what you can use.

Thank you much. Will give it a shot next week in advance of fluid changes.

This was the one. I failed to take a picture, but there's only 1 hose going from the brake fluid compartment. It was actually large enough to use with a standard size funnel. My wife's old Murano I had to use a plastic syringe attached to a funnel since the opening was so small. Anyway, half a can of Seafoam in, shut down engine, waited a half hour, fired it back up and I was making a smoke screen like Spy Hunter. All good now.

lol @ spy hunter. Good work sir!

I usually just point the hose into a cup and have it suck it up instead of using funnels, etc. This way regardless of hose size, it'll suck it up. Just gotta make sure other party is ready to rev the motor a bit in case it starts to stall due to not enough happening.
