Okay, so these are the instructions for using sea foam.

now this line of the instructions leaves me thinking, WTF ((If vehicle is port injected slowly pour SEA FOAM through direct manifold vacuum line that will feed all cylinders, possible sources are P.C.V. valve or brake booster line.)

Can someone dumb these instructions down for me? I need help badly!

How Many Mechanics Use SEA FOAM

In Tune-Up of 4 Cycle Gasoline Carbureted or Fuel Injected EnginesAutos, Trucks, and Tractors

1. With engine warm, slowly pour 1/3 to 1/2 pint through carburetor or throttle body throat. (If vehicle is port injected slowly pour SEA FOAM through direct manifold vacuum line that will feed all cylinders, possible sources are P.C.V. valve or brake booster line.) This will pull SEA FOAM down on top of the pistons and to the back of the intake valves to dissolve carbon. Turn ignition off. Restart engine after 5 minutes. If severe carbon build up is apparent, use more Sea Foam as previously directed. Make sure exhaust is well ventilated when using Sea Foam in these various ways as fumes will be extreme for a short time. 2. Pour 1/3 to 1/2 pint into oil crank case to clean rings, lifters, dirty parts and remove moisture. 3. Pour 1/3 to 1 full pint into fuel tank to clean injectors, carburetor jets, fuel lines and remove moisture. 4. Immediate Results: Smoother idle, increased R.P.M.'s better throttle response and improved performance. See label on can for detailed results for use in each area.

there's a hose from the brake booster that runs to the intake manifold.

- Start the car- Let the idle stabilize- Pop that hose off the brake booster (put your thumb over the opening to prevent your car from dying out)- Pour some seafoam and when you hear it almost die, cap the hose with your thumb again.- Repeat.

Sea foam cleans carbon deposits from your valves and elsewhere. If your car is over 100000 miles you will notice an increase in power if you use it right. I use a hospital style drip tank/valve for mine.

Its just a caustic substance that breaks down carbon, and turns it into something that burns off. Your car will smoke like crazy when you do this, especially at the end.

We used to offer a service similar to seafoam when i worked at Merchants. Was given with the super tuneup package or something, it definitly works wonders.

1. drive to a place where you wont be harrassed by the cops or firemen (there will be copious amounts of white smoke)2. start car3. find a decent sized vacuum hose with some length on it and pull it off 4. put hose into the top of the can to suck the seafoam in5. give throttle as necessary to keep engine running until approx. 1/3 to 1/2 of can is used.
