im very interested in the new Xtreme Sr series that now allows 240sx sr20det applications. the official website gives little info on the series and was wondering if anyone is building a car for it. Also i have no idea where in the US these races will be held but if there are any on the east coast, i may build my car towards that. if not, ITS all the way. any info is appreciated, thank you

ITS and SR-X have two totally different sets of rules.

The problem with SR-X is that it's not a well known class for one, and secondly there aren't really alot of SER Cup cars that are moving into it. The result is a class that is ran sparingly due to lack of participation.

I basically have a SR-X spec S14 but there isn't even a real SER Cup class to begin with here in my location!

Honestly I don't know how long this class will last if people don't get into it. I'd like to think it was made for the 240SX since it honestly lacks it's own spec class and not everyone wants to be in a tied-down-by-rules class like ITS.

The problem is that it is essentially unlimited, so if it does get serious, bigger budgets will always win the race. If it had more definition I'd be interested.

id have to agree with both of you, this is why i asked. i have heard close to nothing on the SR-X so i wanted to see if there was any development going on. Some rules would be nice and would bring some consistency to the table.i personally dont like everything with ITS but is very attractive being that its really the only other option in racing a 240sx. Other than that theres only drifting So if Sr-X doesnt start expanding then ill just do ITS or get a new dam car down the line

To me it's not really about winning, it's about having fun. I recognize that my budget is nill compared to just about anyone else out there, and driving ability can only go so far.
