Just seeing what people think. I was contemplating putting the SE R badge on my coupe. Not trying to be cool saying that it is an SE R, just really like the look of the SE R badge.

If you want to go ahead, it's your car. You'll get some crap for it, but if it's what you want go for it.

Please don't post a thread where you ask people to give their opinion, then bash them for having an opinion which differs from yours.

And, BTW, it should have been "you're" and not "your".

wow i didn't realize this was English class. You can put your opinion without bashing me too. simply say you don't think it would be right because it's not actually an SER and people know that it's not.

Enough of the stupid grammar checks.

Mr.Coupe did it to his. I personally think its living a lie, but its your choice. Would you put a 3.5 badge on the back of a 2.5 if it were red? Meh, do what you want. BTW- the Acura Integra doesn't have any jdm products. Acura is strictly an American line.

tune your car and do it... hell, Nissan FELT like putting it on a bloated 4 door (which I owned and loved), why can't you put it on it's fit, faster and better lookin bro? I know they did it for sales but they did it... if you wanna slap JDM Bluebird badges on your sh*t too, do it! but do it tastefully... just don't go infiniti badges...

yea i only did it because it looked cool lol ..but you know what? the name altima doesnt do it for me. yea i love the car, every inch of it.. maxima, GTR, G35, skyline, 350z heck even fairladyZ sounds good.. these types of names sound great but altima??????? it never will and will never sound nice or sporty or anything great in that matter.. no matter how hard you think..most people know my car isnt an se-r. even my hardcore enthusiast friends with G35's and Z's know that its not an se-r but it fits the car and no one minds it. they actually think its not that bad and pretty unique.. i tried to stay with something thats nottt tooo rice but make sense. the se-r badge is the only thing i saw thats even close to being a sporty name for the altima..because the fact that the older altima models came in se-r.. for now we all know there will never be an altima se-r coupe because its being kept strictly for the sentra line as of 2007..id never do it on a 2.5 but since i have the 3.5 it made more sense..so i guess each to his or her own.. go ahead flame on.. the first time i did it and showed it on this forum some people liked the idea some people didn't.. at the end of the day we all have the same car and its great

I think you doing this is a neat way to show creativity... putting 250 GT, or 250 S, IMO, is hot because it keeps the 2.5 liter engine, but adds some originality to it... i think that's a good idea, but that's just my opinion

Been thinking about this since I saw Mr. Coupe's car, and this is my opinion... because they don't make an SE-R Altima Coupe, and because the Altima Coupe is the fastest current model Nissan labeled car with a 3.5 Liter engine (G35 Sedan is labeled Infiniti, current model Z's are gonna be 3.7 Liter engines, the 3.5 L 390 hp Maxima is stil slower than the A/C) I say its fair game. I know some of my good friends may not agree but its just my opinion... if they made an A/C SE-R, I think it would be similar to rebadging a 2.5 to make it say 3.5... that's living a lie

This would be more like wishful thinking, paying homage to the SE-R name... again, this is just my opinion...

Personally, I would like to see Warner and Blake rebadge their cars with 3.5 SE-T, but that's just my .03

Well, my car is completely de-badged and I've been called a poser by one 300Z owner and two G35 owners on three separate occasions. Personally I don't like badges at all and have tried keeping a clean look on my past 3 cars. Almost everyone loves the look and by now know it's an Alima coupe. It's becoming annoying to have other car owners tell me I'm trying to "lie" or pass my car off as something else simply because I don't have badges.

I'd have to agree that putting an SE-R badge on your car would be misleading but to play devil's advocate to that, a nicely moded a/c could pass off for a performance SE-R. It's not like it's a completely different car and would have all the performance upgrades necessary. If anything he'll just get more people stopping him asking how the heck he got an SE-R.

If you happen to change your mind though and put an Infiniti emblem, please post pictures….. j/k

I dont think the 250S or 350S is to bad. However, 250GT or 350GT would be a bit play off of the Japanese edition of the G35, the Skyline 350GT. I would consider doing the 350T, considering I have the turbo.

The SER line was always just a marketing ploy. Whenever a particular small car line of Nissan product isn't selling very well, they will create an SER version, to boost sales. The 02-06 altima wasn't selling very well in its latter years. So they created the SER. Same with the Sentra in many of its years.

yeah the GT would be a rip off... but yours would be sick with a 350SE-T custom badge... real sick.

edit: OR the normal sized 350SE with a small VQ35DE-T badge underneath it...

No really, to each's own. I personally like the clean look of a debadged car. I would debadge my Acura TL type S but that's my wife's car and I'm not allowed to touch it

When I get the SFR turbo, I might consider Doc's idea.... SE-T badge
