I dont know if 240s ever came stock with an alarm but mine has one. Now that I have my SR, whenever I drive my car the alarm is always going off. It doesnt honk it just blinks the lights and sounds like I have my turn signal on, but when my headlights are on my lights stop blinking but the clicking noise of the lights keeps going on in my car, and theres also a little red light on the steering column that blinks too. I was just wondering if anyone knows how to disonnect this stupid thing so i can drive in peace. I drive a 93 coupe se. -John

it sounds like it could be aftermarket, just that the siren is not connected. see if you can find a button or toggle switch under the dash. then turn your key to the ignition on position and push the button or fip the toggle switch. hopefully the light on the column turns solid and its in valet mode. that aleast should keep it from flashing the lights, till you can find the brain and disconnect it.
