Has anyone tried to make a copy of the original Nissan SD Card for the Navigation System? Since it does not operate without it in the slot it would be nice to have a copy on hand. If anyone has please give of description how you accomplished it and did you try the copy to see if it functions as the original does? :bowrofl:

I had the same feeling so I just copied the contents of the SD card to a folder on my computer. I haven't copied it to another SD card yet so it hasn't been tested, but just wanted a backup of it.

Did you notice the format type (fat32, fat, NTFS) and the size of the card ?

Typically, these cards have embedded serial no's for copyright protection. Simply copying will not work as the serial number itself cannot be retrieved/copied.

Back it up if you wish, but it's a fruitless exercise.

Thanks that was the info. I was looking for. I guess backing up data has become so common that I thought if it would work I could prevent a future issue. I was not looking to do this for any gain just a prevention since that SD Card sees extreme temperature changes here in the Northeast USA.
