I did something pretty stupid. I was trying to get bugs off my bumper (plastic - M45) and used a Scotch scuff pad on it after spraying it with bug remover. I got the bugs off but now I've got light whitish scuff marks all over it.

Any suggestions on how to fix this short of repainting? Would Meguire's or Mother's first and second step work to remove the scuffs? They claim to remove swirls on clearcoat but this isn't metal.
