So I've been having a bad day today anyway. And I go to class at 4pm and I'm on the internet, waiting for everyone to get there, and I realize that it's like a quarter after. Well this is kind of an online class, but we meet once a week. So I check out bulliten board and they changed the meeting this week to tuesday, so I'm there for nothing. So I head back out to my car and go to pull out into the street, only I don't go anywhere cuz I'm stuck on the ice. So I try to get out and only manage to get my car pointed perpendicular to the street. Along come the good samaratin...

So by this point I'm not happy and I've got the car like almost floored just cuz I'm mad. Well this guy comes up and pushes on the back of the car. ONLY I don't know that he's there and that he's doing that. So when he pushes I pop up out of the ice, shoot across the street and hit this parked truck. The guy was apologizing all over the place and it wasn't his fault at all, but I was still mad. So when I go to get back in the car I'm pissed off and I pull up on the door handle (kinda hard) and I break it. So now I can only get in from the passenger side.

Luckily it's an old ford ranger thats all rusted to hell so I doubt they are going to do anything. *crosses fingers*

After assesing the damage it looks like the hood might be able to be fixed (bout 80% sure), drivers headlight is toast, drives side markers is toast, cracked bumper, and I doubt the fender is salvagable. But the good news is that it didn't hurt the core support of the frame, so no major damage to the structure of the car.

So opinions; see if I can peice the parts together and leave it stock, or just put an aftermarked bumper and fenders on it? Peiceing would be cheaper, but harder to do, and take longer. Aftermarket is easeir, more expesive, but takes less time. Waddaya think?

Need to get some wheels first. I would just do an aero silvia bumper,CF hood and oem aero sides. Or be diffrent and put the pig nose back on.

Sorry to hear about your trouble, but let me say "attaboy" for being upset, but not taking it out on the guy that was trying to help.

I like the "clean" lines of this one ...

Nice looking stuff... definately a "square" or boxy style setup... lots of angles. I think the fenders alone would look blah.. but with the kit it looks ok. I like the front end.. maybe do some fender flares w/ that front end... something a little milder on the hood? I dunno...

I'd say if you ever thought of going w/ some aftermarket stuff now would be the time to do it. Otherwise hold out and go with some nice clean rims... then just maybe do a front bumper w/ OE fender(s) and hood......

PacMan - I've thought about the aero bumper, but it still won't feed my FMIC much better than my current bumper does so I'd like one that has a larger opening (vertically). I would like a CF hood. I think it would look good with the silver that I'm planning on painting the car

Justinmc-I don't think I like the hood either, but it showed the bumper from a different angle also, so thats why i put it up there.

Dang Ryan, sorry about what happened 'Champ':( . I can find out if there' some extra parts left over like the sylvia headlights, corner marker, grill and hopefully a fender. There are 3 sets coming in about a week or so, but some spare parts are already hear. Unfortunately, one of the complete Sylvia fronts is dedicated to my convertible. Once again, sorry your ride got hurt because I do know the pain.

Dan-bite me! Hehehe. And maybe if we had a link on the mainpage, I could find the members ride section. Hmmm maybe the mods need to get on that......

Back to the point, here are the pics now...
