So I've been having a bad day today anyway. And I go to class at 4pm and I'm on the internet, waiting for everyone to get there, and I realize that it's like a quarter after. Well this is kind of an online class, but we meet once a week. So I check out bulliten board and they changed the meeting this week to tuesday, so I'm there for nothing. So I head back out to my car and go to pull out into the street, only I don't go anywhere cuz I'm stuck on the ice. So I try to get out and only manage to get my car pointed perpendicular to the street. Along come the good samaratin...
So by this point I'm not happy and I've got the car like almost floored just cuz I'm mad. Well this guy comes up and pushes on the back of the car. ONLY I don't know that he's there and that he's doing that. So when he pushes I pop up out of the ice, shoot across the street and hit this parked truck. The guy was apologizing all over the place and it wasn't his fault at all, but I was still mad. So when I go to get back in the car I'm pissed off and I pull up on the door handle (kinda hard) and I break it. So now I can only get in from the passenger side.
Luckily it's an old ford ranger thats all rusted to hell so I doubt they are going to do anything. *crosses fingers*
After assesing the damage it looks like the hood might be able to be fixed (bout 80% sure), drivers headlight is toast, drives side markers is toast, cracked bumper, and I doubt the fender is salvagable. But the good news is that it didn't hurt the core support of the frame, so no major damage to the structure of the car.
So opinions; see if I can peice the parts together and leave it stock, or just put an aftermarked bumper and fenders on it? Peiceing would be cheaper, but harder to do, and take longer. Aftermarket is easeir, more expesive, but takes less time. Waddaya think?
