My previous owner didnt take care of rear window. It looks all f'd up.... like foggy and stuff.I dont feel like getting a new clean one, plus I dont want anyone look into my car at night or whenever =p since I got 20% tints on windows.

I am thinking about just black out rear window.I dont think tint paper(?) woudlnt work, because when the top goes down it will get all f'd up. Thinking about spraying it... you know those things you can buy at autozone or wutever.

Anyone's got idea? to black out my rear window. make it look clean and nice!cheaper the better.

thanks guys.

If you look up my previous posts somewhere in this forum, you will find an explanation of how and where to get a black rear window. Spraying will be the worst mistake you can imagine. Spray tint does not work well, the chemical will likely eat the window, and when it dries it will not be capable of bending without cracking horribly. The thought of it scares me.I certainly do not mean to offend you. It sounds like a cool idea, but I think you would end up very unhappy with the results.

BTW: I have put a lot of time and research into caring for plastic convertible windows. If anyone would like me to start a thread with a good explanation of the process, I would be happy to do so. These windows can probably last indefinetly if you know how to treat them properly.

I wonder if this is going to work or not. 1967-1970 Mustang convertible has this folding rear glass window and judging by the size of 240's top well it may work if someone can make one for 240. Has anyone seen this or thought about it? I saw this folding glass window in person, and it looked very good. If someone makes it right, defogger might be available too. I wonder who makes this window since I'll replace my top, headliner and rear window soon.

Rear window doesn't look straight in above picture, but this one does.

I can't find attwater's but this would help too. I used plexi cleaner from Autozone and it worked just fine too. It's for motor cycle window, plastic headlights, blinkers...etc. It worked just fine.

Ok. I am about to write a thread about windows. I can't find my old thread either. ??????I've been tossing around the idea of a folding window for quite awhile. I can't beleive that actually exists. Nice find 94_240sx!!!If you can think it, someones probably already done it.Wow!

I met this guy with a 1969 Mustang at inspection station several years ago and, he said folding rear glass window originally came with the car. I was very surprised to hear that. I looked at it carefully and clear plastic molding was holding 2 pieces of glass together. I roughly measured dimension of Mustang rear window, and it looked like they would fit in 240 top well once it's folded.
