just letting u guys know to watch out for this website.http://www.elitepro1.com/

ordered a pair of vertex corners for my s14 kouki for $72 on 7/10/08 and heard nothing from them for a week. i received a message later that my credit card had been denied, and that they had just cleared it up, even though the only reason this had happened was because they would not accept my credit card for some reason and so i used my father's which worked fine. this was the same day (july 10th) and my fathers account was charged. 6/18 i received this email:

We are contacting you to inform you that Vertex notified that the product you are ordering has increased in price as of July 1.2008.This we are adjusting the price for this difference. The additional charge will be $13.45. Contact back to confirm that you agree with this additional charge. Product is awaiting your confirmation for shippment. Thank you

Sales Team

so basically they changed the price more than a week before i bought them, but didn't change what it said on the website, then upped what they were charging me from $72 plus a few bucks for shipping to $92.50 which i'm pretty sure they can't do the whole reason i bought from them in the first place was because other places were charging like 80

it is now 6/22/08 (almost 2 weeks later) and the order status still says "to ship"this company sucks

why didn't you just refuse the charge and get a refund? if they don't refund you, call up your credit card company & let them know.

that does suck, but you should be able to take care of this issue so at least you don't get screwed over.

Yes, just cancel the transaction and buy elsewhere. If they are running a business like that, they don't deserve customers.

If you want to buy from them, just eat the $14 charge and move on. It's your choice to either pay it, or wait for another set to come in from another supplier.

Legally they have to sell the product for the advertised price. Haven't you heard of glitches at the airlines where people bought plane tickets for like five bucks? They had to honor them because if they don't its called false advertising.

Legally speaking, they do list "Prices and product offerings are subject to change without notice. " under their customer service page, as w/ most sites.

Customer satisfactorily (is that even a word?), elite pro failed miserably.

The airlines could have weaseled their way out of it legally; however, they knew that the best thing (and most money) for them in the long run was to keep the customer as happy as possible (though most airlines do fail in that department on so many other levels, but that's a different story).

Most people learn that the best deal in the long run isn't always the best price.
