Everyone always *****es that 240 owners "lowball" people selling stuff.**** that.I'm sick of sellers "high balling" me. some guy was parting out a ka24de. its a friggin 91, the earliest model made, not particularly rare, and not particularly low mileage. I was interested in the head and he said "make an offer."I said 50 bucks, which I think is a pretty fair offer for the head, especially considering I don't need the cams.So emails me back, and said "Hell no the cams alone are worth twice that."

so whatever....if you say make an offer and someone makes a reasonable one, don't **** bricks and get all offended. You should note on your post if you are asking unreasonable prices for your used parts over a decade old, that way I will know to ignore you and your post.I don't know what makes people think that their parts are made of gold, but I'm tired of it.Either post prices or quit *****ing.

:Werd

There's a droptop 240 on Ebay right now that is a PERFECT example of that.

NO S13 is worth $8500. PERIOD. :rolleyes

I remember the good old days when there were very few sellers on Ebay and stuff was ULTRA-cheap. Now it's like a retail store.

Well, it is a Silvia Front End/RB26DET/5 speed conversion, rightt?

Otherwise, his 3's look like 8's.

I would agree with you, Andrave. That head for the KA has probably been around and in use for 13 years. Come now do you really expect people to pay par for something that is used and probably has a ton of miles on it? People need to stop trying to get over on people over the NET.

When I sold my books in College, I told people to go to the used book store and price the book. They would give me the best price and I would charge them 50%-75% of the price that TIS was charging for the book. The buyer got a better price and I didn’t get ripped off by selling the book to the used books store and loosing my *** on it.

I feel your pain man, trying to buy used parts for the WRX is a pain in the butt. The problem you run into is the fact that people will buy the part out from under you. People will also charge you an arm and a leg for the part as well and then complain that you are low balling them. Give me a break! If I wanted to pay par for a part, I would buy it from Subaru. People just need a reality check on used parts.

I once saw a complete KADE with transmission on ebay for over 1200 dollars...funny, I got to watch it drop in price as he figured out that was absolutely ridiculous ;) Some people are WAY too proud of what they have.

yes, no s13 is worth 8500. But yet, in my town I've been offered 10 grand for my SR20DET powered 240sx. =)

seems like most of the car stuff on ebay now costs exactly the same or MORE than at actual stores. they do stuff like charge msrp. no real store actually charges msrp!! and people fall for it cuz they think ebay is cheaper than anywhere.

yeah I've been in bidding wars for "jdm parts" that are used and people bid them up over what you could buy new domestic parts for...a lot of the parts that I have for my car are japanese but I didn't get them for the bling, I got them cause they were good parts that I got cheap. IMO if you make all that **** more expensive... whats the point?GTR seats were up for 1200 buy it now... thats nuts!

I have been back at the car shopping pretty hard in the past two weeks. I saw three s13's for like$5000 plus on the auto trader. Now granted one only had 50,000 miles on it. Deffinetly worth $5000 in my opinion. But the others were high milage, 91's. Aint no way I am paying $5000 for a high milage s13 when one lot had a 95 for upper $4000's.... With less milage.

I do a little selling on Ebay and it is against every principle I have to do buisness the way some of these a$$es do. I hate reserve prices with a passion. Just make a starting bid. There is no need to have a reserve with a hidden price. That pi$$es me off like nothing else.

Anyway...................

Well......I made the mistake of puting a mint T25 on the buy/sell section here.

Man......10 emails nobody offering more than 100 shipped.

You pay 100 for a core, and this turbo Ive got is mint....oh well.

Ill do what I always do......sit on it till someone wants to cough up the right amount.
