Hey guys, I recently removed my clutch fan, and now a noise a rarely heard is hearable again...a screeching after i let go of the gas above 3000rpms. I believe it's been there all along but It's been more noticeable w/o the wurring of the clutch fan. Everythings fine untill i climb above 3000rpms, and during the deceleration of changing gears I hear a few chirps from my engine bay. Anyone have any idea what this is? Thanks ahead!-Galen

a slightly loose motor mount? my friend has the same problem, but you can only really hear it at idle due to his exhaust, he leans on the engine, it stops, get off it, it starts. Motor mount. Now all you have to do is get a buddy to stand in your engine bay while you drive at 3k in first and have him lean on it. < - i am being serious almost. 3k in first is like what...13-15mph?

lean...on the engine? i dont know how else to put it? shift you body weight through your hands onto the top of the engine, stabilizing it more.

You can try tightening it, but you may need new ones. that may not even be ther problem though.

annoying for now I would say. But then again. They are your motor mounts. If that is the problem, I would suggest getting them replaced unless a mechanic tells you otherwise. Becuase you know..they hold up your motor...

Maybe you just can't hear the belt screaming while you're on the gas?

Start by having someone more knowledgeable listen to the sound they will be able to tell. The service manual tells you the amount of deflection that is allowed for each belt. If you don't have a manual but it, Its very useful.

As for adjusting the tension do not overtighten it will cause premature failure of all your accessories.

Look at the belts and pulleys and examine the tensioners

1 bolt adjusts the tension and another bolt is tightened to lock that tension in
