scratched headlights

a while ago, i got a couple of deep scratches in my headlight so i tried sandpapering it out by going all the way down to 1500 grit and using a scratch remover. well, i got the big scratches out but my headlight still looks foggy even after using the scratch remover. is there anything else on the market that i can use or will i have to buy a new headlight?

go to a detail shop, they can fix it... i tried to blackhouse my headlights last week, an we scratched one... we did the same thing but polished it out with a few ardex plastic polishes
