As you guys need to know that you start ruff and then go higher with grit. Even close to 1000 grit would be great. Then you can use compound and polish.

Some of the lens refinish kits have 320, 600, 1000, 1500, 2000. That is just the sandpaper. Then you apply the polish paste.
