Hey, I just took off some of the cam journals from my KA motor and found some scratches.. Will this be repairable or would I be better off with a new head? The journals also have identical scratches..

well....its not so bad...since there identical scratches..you might aswell just use em..it might actually hold a little oil in there for those hard to start days..lol....but!....i noticed on your pic your not that clean with your motor...make shur before you reinstall them that the journals are clean and so is the cams...those scratches came from minute debris that is now imbeded in the cam caps or journals....the scratches can allso be made from dry starting...like when you assemble a motor but dont use a prelube...or assembly lub before you start it up...i suggest you make shur your using a good cam lube..like torco MPZ...or royal purple prelube...and make shur your clean and have no debris on ither ..

good luck
