My shocks are busted. I am trying to decide whether to get lowering springs when I replace the shocks. I have always lowered my cars from stock height... but maybe I am getting older (and wiser) and wonder if I will scrape every speed bump or driveway... I am wonder if any of you who lowered your verts had misgivings after they lowered their ride. fyi, i do not race or drift... the vert is my 3rd car, i just use it occasionally.

Springs only lower 1-2 inches, so you should be fine. If you go lower than that, things gets complicated. Go for it. Vert looks nice lowered.

With Tanabe springs I would pretty much never scrape if I didn't have the dual exhaust that puts muffler/resonator under the driver's seat area.

I scraped my exhaust on one speed bump recently at a park.

My car is pretty low thanks to Endura Tech coilovers.

Thanks for the responses.

OK I am sold (That was easy huh?) I am going to get lowering springs. Maybe Eibach (Prokit or Sportline) or Tein (They seem to be cheaper)...

I know most people go with the KYB gr2s... but arent those made for STOCK springs? I heard Koni Yellows work with lowered springs but they are quite beyond what I want to spend.

What do you all have?

Just avoid Sportline. All other combinations should work well.

think about where you are driving too. when i lower my vert i will have to watch for all kinds of pothole/bumps going to work in downtown St. Louis that i wouldnt have to worry about otherwise. but verts look so much better lowered, so after you lower it take pics and post them here

if you're going to lower it, stay away from the g2's, and go with the agx shocks... I put Megan springs and agx's on and love it.. nice ride with the adjustable shocks and bigger sway bars.. lowered about 2 inches..
