Yes, most decent body shops will do it for about 50-100 per wheel, depending on how bad you curbed it.

They sand it smooth, polish and paint.

I was quoted $175 per rim for the 19's...previous owner rashed 3 out of 4

I wonder how they do this?I have a few gouges that I'd love to get repaired, but it seems to me that they would have to do a fair bit of grinding/sanding before all the surfaces were on the same plane in order to shoot the paint.Taking off so much of the alloy would definitely upset the balance of the wheel, so a re-balance (at minimum) would seem called for afterwards.

Or do they just patch the nicks with some sort of filler material?

Yeah, they're great if you live in Florida. A lot of times your local dealer will know of a company or person that does this sort of repairs. They usually sublet out the work and if not they might be able to recommend someone to do it.

I totaly understand yer grief i am running 20'' rims with 30 series tires and they are the most unforgiving things in the world. My GF has rashed off 2 and after grillin her on it i rashed one off the other day. Lucky for me i bought extra insurance and had one of my rims bent from a pothole and it just so happens thats one with curb rash. The bad part is when ya rash a front rim it usualy means you scraped the paint off the bumper too. I do need to check into this same problem of repair in Texas because im planning to ship the car to Bahrain in the middle east and i know there is no one there that is even gonna lay a hand on my baby. The car not my GF. well her too.
