Been forever since I updated NICO what was going on with my car so here goes.

This is how it sat about 2 months ago.

At the time the only mods were a 2.5" Megan Racing exhaust. Kind of regret it now. After only a few months, I've quite grown out of the coffee can look and sound.

So then about a month ago I figured it was time to lose the SOHC. So a CA18DET was thrown in in it's place. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the swap process. So you'll have to take my word for it for now.

Then 2 weeks ago I made the dumb mistake of rear ending some broad at the mall. Pretty much the entire front end was shot. Good excuse to have a Sil80 if ya ask me.

But who likes having a car that's half and half. So I ran to Advance Auto Parts and got some rattle cans.

But where's the hood? Oh, there it is.

Ok, now before I get flamed to bad, here me out. I'm really not into the whole, "OMG, JDM is so ****en cool, I gotta have it!! " thing. I have the CA18 because it was better than a beat up SOHC and I have the front end because I think it looks better and offers a substantial savings in weight. Now there's also a kid on one of the local forums in my area that is all about JDM parts. Me and my buddies all think it's the funniest thing, so we figured we'd paint the hood like that inspite of him. It's just a slight jab.

So anyway, the paintjob is just a temporary thing until the springtime when it goes through extensive body work and a serious paintjob. Just gotta wait for warmer weather.

Already on order are some KTS coilovers. Hopefully they'll be ready for install in about 2 weeks. Supposed to have a wicked snow storm sometime this week, so there's no point in slamming it now. Wheels are soon to come. No idea what I want really, so we'll see when the time comes. And umm, I guess that's it for now.

some broad at the mall."

Nice, I'm trying to figure out some local NE meets this summer, I'll have to remember you. Brick headlights are whats up, muy atractive! The hood makes me laugh, but cool none-the-less.

surprisingly not to bad. i guess when the rest of the car's paint has 17 yr old faded paint the gloss rattle can matches up nicely. haha. i have no misconceptions of this being a permanent thing, but its certainly better than rocking a half and half car.

i hear ya bro, it's an acquired taste. i think i'm gettin used to the CA now too. when i first put it in, compared to the stock SOHC, I felt like the fastest thing on 4 wheels. now I feel like im driving a SOHC again. weaksauce. time for more boost.
