Picked up a coupe with Silvia front and rear and SR with lots of goodies. A few issues to attend to but at the moment it's running rich. It has some kind of fuel pump, I think it's skyline. I checked it out but was dumb enough to not take pics even though my phone was in my pocket. Is it possible for an upgraded fuel pump to overpower the stock regulator and flood the injectors? I haven't even gotten to checking the plugs, injectors and ECU. Been working on vacuum leaks and wiring so far.

If it is not running the correct PSI for fuel, yes it will run Richie Rich. It depends on what else was done to the car for it to run that pump. Might need an adjustable FPR and adjust fuel as needed. Checking the plugs would definitely be step 1. Check ECU for codes. Look for major boost leaks as that will cause it not to run right and run rich.

Or a simple disconnect and reconnect MAF, TPS, Injectors, etc. Usually Sr's aren't that easy though lol. ;)

Planning on checking everything and pulling and redoing the wiring harness. What do you mean about the disconnect and reconnect? You mean pull each while the car is running and see the difference?

Yes, you can do that while the car is running. You can also do that to see if something got loose.

Checked MAF, coils and injectors. All work ok, everything caused a stumble when unplugged. Hopefully I can get to the plugs tomorrow. How would you go about checking the ECU for codes as I don't think those wires are connected in the swap.

Plugs look good, nice and brown. Had iridiums in it.

Swapped out the pump for a Walbro and runs much better now, slow smoother.
