If it wasn't shooting oil into your combuston chamber and/or had low compression, I wouldn't lose heavy sleep over it. A light hone job can be done by a simple mechanic just as yourself, unless you just want to tear it apart and go for the full rebuild. If you replace the rings, you're going to need the cylinders honed a bit to ruff up the cylinder walls as part of the equation to make sure that the rings have all the necessities to get a good seat.
And don't confuse honing with boring because they are different processes. The stock CA block can't take a bit of honing for even deep grooves and still have enough cylinder wall left to accept standard rings and pistons. Be sure and contact me before you make a decision as to what you want to do.
