So me and the kid are working on the 240 SR swap. Yesterday I decided it was time to pull the remainder of the drive shaft out and measure the distance from center of yoke to the diff. OK, I think 43" would be perfect. Put everything on the work bench, need send yoke from 5 speed with u-joint and flange and get single piece made up.

Holy crap! I had never pulled the yoke out and really looked closely at it.

This thing has a score/pitting line going all the way around. I had totally overlooked this item.

The yoke slides in and out easily, There is no damage to rear seal (visually) and I did drain the oil a few weeks ago and there was only a little bit of "fuzz" no big pieces. I can see down inside the rear seal/bearing area and everything looks good.

I sent e-mail and pictures to Karim at TotalJDM in Toronto.

Purchase date 8/18/08. I think I may be screwed.

Any thoughts?!?!?
